The Hospital of the Future Fashion Collection is a collaboration between QUT Fashion students and Metro North Hospital and Health Service. Facilitated by Mathilde Desselle (Herston Biofabrication Institute), Icaro Ibanez-Arricivita (QUT Fashion) & Professor Thea Blackler (QUT School of Design).
Starting in February 2019, the Fashion Students were presented with the brief of designing a concept-driven futuristic uniform for current health professionals. With a tight deadline of four weeks the students got immersed in research design and making to showcase their work during the Herston Biofabrication Institute Inaugural Conference.
Isabel Byram participated in this project in a technical and support role. Primarily Isabel assisted students with the fabrication of their designs on laser cutters and 3D printers in the J Block Digital Fabrication Lab, in addition to providing design feedback to student work.  After the Herston Biofabrication Institute Inaugural Conference, Isabel was involved through an ongoing support role to enhance continuity of student learning.
