In 2014, First year Fashion Design students were invited to collaborate with the State Library of Queensland’s, The Edge.  We were brought in to make Kombucha material into fashion.  I partnered with my classmate Celia Cox, together we brought the elements of macramé and the moulded forms together to make “The Lector” Shawl.  The class’ work was on display at The edge for two weeks.
During the semester I contacted another Kombucha material researcher, Sacha Laurin who is the founder of Kombucha Couture for further information about her innovations.  At the end of the project I met Sacha whilst she was on holiday and was able to show her our project.
